Oh what an adventure awaits you now after your very lengthy travels.  Private land transportation will pick you up from Marseille Provence Airport (www.marseille.aeroport.fr) or Avignon train station and whisk you away to a serenely alluring country residence situated on 10 acres of a secluded country estate at the foothills of picturesque Gordes which you will be calling home for the following 7 nights.  This Provincial home, with its inground pool and tennis court, is set in tranquil surroundings adjoined with vineyards, lavender and poppy fields, and orchards with captivating vistas of the Luberon Valleys.  Upon venturing through the antique wooden front door of this century’s old French country style residence, an emotive response of peacefulness and relaxation will overcome you as you step inside its interiors decorated in a soothing colour palette with French linens and an ambience swooning with Provincial charm and appeal.

After being escorted to your bedrooms where you will have time to unpack and unwind, there will be a short tour of this home and its estate.  You will be shown all the private nooks and rooftop terraces where you are free to retreat to for a private read or just some time out that you can enjoy at leisure throughout your stay.  As we will be the only guests staying at this home, you can truly treat it as your “home away from home”, a quality that this house is renowned for.  

Welcome drinks of French champagne, wine or non-alcohol beverages and canapes will follow on one of the rooftop balconies whilst taking in the views of the hillsides and the antique terracotta tiled roofline.  Tonight, will be the first night of the week where we will have a traditional French dinner cooked and served by a highly acclaimed local French Chef and Author under the wisteria covered pergola aglow with candlelight.  

Then it will be off to bed to dream of what pleasures lay ahead over the coming week and in preparation of our early start the following morning as we venture to two of the local brocantes on this tour.
